I pit two identical builds against each other to see if OS choice between XP Professional SP2 x32 and Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x64 makes any real difference speedwise. This is not an intensive test of software, 3D etc but mainly startup and shutdown comparisons. Later I may do intensive testing on a more heavy duty set of rigs.
I wondered to myself if I could use the new foliage tool in UDK to make a cityscape.... So I modeled some VERY rudimentary buildings and brought them into UDK. Here's how it went...
